How it all began

So often I get the question, “What lead you to designing shirts?”  The answer is simple… everything.  As a child and as an adult I have always loved a good t-shirt.  My mom would tell you that I in fact would never throw any of my shirts out during my younger years.  Especially if the shirt made a statement that moved or inspired me.  So when I was sitting at home one night and the words to my signature tee came to me in a vision I should not have been that surprised.  BUT I was surprised and thrilled all at the same time.  I immediately began writing the words that were coming through me. The next thing I knew I was standing at a screen print shop asking them to make 12 women’s shirts with the “I am that…” design.  I gave those shirts out to my girlfriends and immediately received responses back.  Everyone loved these tees, they began traveling with us on our own life’s journey and helping us all to remember how spectacular we really are.  My friends and I were being stopped by strangers in doctors offices and in stores asking, “where did you get that shirt?”   That’s when I realized these tees, these words of love and of truth make a difference and they belong in the world.   My hope is to thread words of love, peace, and truth for all to enjoy.
